NCJW Leadership Retreat

ICJW’s American affiliate, the National Council of Jewish Women, will hold their Leadership Retreat from June 1-3, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri.

The goal of the NCJW Leadership Retreat is to provide NCJW leaders with knowledge, skills, resources and connections to the NCJW network, so they are better able to deliver on the mission of NCJW locally and nationally. It will enable participants to:

  • Build leadership skills to support your role as Section President, Board Member, Committee Chair, Advocacy Leader or NCJW advocate or volunteer
  • Gain the knowledge and skills you need to build and maintain a strong section or action team.
  • Learn from and build connections with other NCJW leaders from around the country.
  • Feel empowered as a leader of complex social justice work.
  • Connect with the Jewish values that guide our work.
  • Build relationships and have fun!

150 activists and leaders from all over the United States are expected to attend the retreat and participate in 23 workshops on personal leadership, leading for change, outreach and engagement, and NCJW’s work.

Speakers include Yavilah McCoy, is the CEO of the Diversity consulting group DIMENSIONS Inc., and Adrienne Davis, William M. Van Cleve Professor of Law and Vice Provost at Washington University in St. Louis. The Saturday night program will involve Mother 2 Mother, a group of black mothers  who will discuss the dangers and reality of raising black men in America.
