georgian affiliate president at eu conference

Marine  Solomonishvili, as president of the International Foundation LEA & Council of Jewish Women in Georgia, took part in the  high level 10th International Conference "Georgia's European Way: " EU's Eastern European Partners - Towards the Vilnius Summit" in Batumi on 11-12 July 2013.

The conference was organised by the Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration (OSMEEAI) , in partnership with the EU and the Republic of Lithuania, bringing together representatives from the EU and the Eastern European region to discuss the implementation of the European integration agenda, the preparation process for the Vilnius Summit and the progress achieved in the framework of the Eastern Partnership.

Traditionally, the list of invitees of the Conference includes high level representatives from Georgia, the EU and its Member States, the Partner Countries, members of parliaments, non-governmental and business sector,  and the media. It was therefore highly significant that the Council of Jewish Women in Georgia was invited to attend as one of the country's leading NGOs, and to participate in discussions with  the governmental institutions of Georgia and other Eastern European countries.
