concern for nigerian women

ICJW issued the following Statement following its Convention in Prague in May 2014, expressing its concerns for the women of Nigeria.


1.                 Expresses its horror at the kidnapping and trafficking of girls in Nigeria.

2.                 Deplores that they are to be sold for forced marriage and sexual slavery.

3.                 Is outraged that girls who are seeking an education can have their human rights ignored.

4.                 Expresses solidarity with the families of the girls and  support for the governments that are assisting the Nigerian government to rescue them.
