Call for Submissions: The UN Israel Inquiry

The United Nations has set up a Commission of Inquiry against Israel – an unprecedented open-ended probe following the Gaza conflict in May 2021. Watch this video to learn what is happening and what we should do.

Our webinar presenter, Anne Bayefsky is a lawyer, scholar and activist. She is currently Director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust; President of Human Rights Voices; and a solicitor and barrister at the Ontario Bar. Her areas of expertise include international human rights law, equality rights, and constitutional human rights law.

The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel is led by Navi Pillay from South Africa, Miloon Kothari from India, and Chris Sidoti from Australia. The Commission is open to receiving submissions from organizations and individuals with an interest in the issues under discussion – this is an opportunity for ICJW and our international affiliates to raise our voices.

How can we help?

Anne urged us all to send in a submission and to circulate this request to all our family, friends and associates.

To do this, check the website humanrightsvoices.org which provides step by step instructions on what to do.

Click on “Pillays Pogrom” and then on “Submissions”. This will give you all the information you need.

Time is short as submissions should be sent in by the end of February.
