Message from the President of the International Council of Jewish Women
Two years have passed since the horrific attacks of October 7, 2023 — a day that changed Israel and the Jewish people forever.
On that morning, hundreds of innocent lives were brutally taken, entire families were destroyed, and our hearts were broken. Brave soldiers have since risked, and many have given, their lives defending our homeland and protecting our people.
Yet, as the tragedy unfolded, the world too often turned its back — refusing to see the horror, doubting the truth, and allowing lies to spread. Over these two years, misinformation and hatred have fueled an alarming rise in antisemitism across the globe.
Today, we remember the victims.
We honor the courage of those who fight to protect Israel.
We stand with the families who continue to wait — with unbearable pain — for their loved ones to return home.
We call upon the world to demand the release of every hostage, to seek truth over distortion, and to end this war that has brought so much suffering.
May the memory of the victims be a blessing.
May their families find comfort.
May peace, justice, and truth prevail — for Israel, for our people, and for humanity.
Am Israel Jai.
Lilian Grinberg, President, ICJW.
